Pray for Joni Eareckson Tada and her husband Ken

If you haven’t read or heard about Joni Eareckson Tada, you should. At 17 she was in a diving accident that made her a quadriplegic, and she has spent the last 47 years bound to a wheelchair. Her faithful husband Ken has stood by her side, and Joni has traveled the globe preaching the gospel and letting God use her in a mighty way. Today, we’d like to have you pray for both Joni and Ken. They are two amazing people who have filled our hearts and show a true picture of what it means to display the love of Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We know all things are possible for one who believes. Father we lift our sister Joni up to you and ask you in Jesus name to heal her body and set her free from her wheelchair. We come boldly before you and ask you to let her walk and show everyone the miracle that you are. Father we know that she would glorify you and that she loves you with all of her heart.

For Ken we pray for continued strength from you Jesus. Speak to his heart Lord and encourage him. Lift him up physically, mentally and spiritually. Let Jesus work through Joni and Ken in such a way that you Oh God would be glorified.

We know Father that you have a plan for Joni and Ken and that they have a purpose in your kingdom. Thank you father for having a unique purpose for each of us and allowing us to do your work in such unique and individual ways.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen

    Acts 12 Movement,
The Lord has answered this – He is being glorified in Ken and Joni, for His power is made perfect in weakness. Let’s pray that He continues to be glorified in their witness to the grace of God in Jesus Christ!

  3. Joni and Ken are TREMENDOUS blessings and witnesses to the world through her weaknesses! The help she has been to countless numbers of people struggling through difficult times is astonishing. I have given many copies of her books to physically struggling believers and it gave them a greater perspective of God’s amazing grace.
