This evening is the beginning of Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement. Jewish people worldwide will begin fasting and repentance for the sins committed in the past year. We know the Bible teaches that Jesus the Messiah is the only way for Jew and Gentile alike to be saved and to have sins forgiven. Let’s pray today that God will take the scales from many Jewish peoples eyes as they observe this, their holiest day. We know that many have had the Messiahship of Jesus presented to them in the past year. May God bring many to true repentance this Yom Kippur.
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we come to you on this holy day for the Jewish people. Like Paul, our prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. You have set Israel apart as your chosen people and we know from your Word that they have a bright future. But that future will not be bright until they acknowledge Jesus as their Messiah, and that He alone can cleanse them from their sins. As many are repenting on this holy day we ask that you will remove the blindness from their spiritual eyes and may they find true repentance and salvation, and may the blind now see You clearly as their Messiah and Savior. We ask that the Holy Spirit to use those Old Testament verses used to see that they spoke of Jesus. Save many this Yom Kippur we pray.
We ask this all in the name of Jesus,
Amen!

I pray for both the peace or Jerusalem physically, that there may be peace and safety there. Also for the true peace of God for his sheep so long astray. He calls, I pray they listen so to know true peace in Jesus as messiah, whom God sent for all .
