It has been a very slow day today on the acts12movement. This doesn’t mean that nobody is praying, but the subject matter may almost seem like in light of world events.
Has anyone had a difficult time praying today that God would work in the hearts of our countries leadership? I realize that when you continue to see the same behavior over and over again it all seems like a waste of time. Hard cases is exactly what God specializes in. Remember, we were ALL hard cases before God gave us spiritual life. When you are dead in sin you are lifeless. BUT GOD!!!

Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Let’s live this out.
In Jesus Name,
The Acts 12 Team
I do pray for our country. I have lost confidence in our leadership. I don’t think the US is alone in this. There is a deep unrest all over the world because government doesn’t seem to care for the average citizen. It’s tough to pray for something you believe as been overtaken by Satan. I know God’s power is sovereign and He will win the final victory. I pray that he would soften my heart enough to ask forgiveness for the narcissism that has invaded the leaders of today. I also ask forgiveness for my own doubts and feelings.

Thank you for your very honest and heartfelt sentiments on this issue. You answered your own doubt when you said ” I know God’s power is sovereign and He will win the final victory.” Not only that, but because God is sovereign, He is over satan every second of every day here on this earth. We don’t know God’s timing on anything, but we do know that prayer is a part of His plan to work out His will on earth and for all eternity. Thank you so much for your for the great comment. Keep praying!

I have prayed for our govt. officials to know God’s truth and seek His wisdom for a long time and I confess, with this administration I do feel like it’s a waste of time but I still pray. At times I don’t even know what to pray for them, they seem so lost. You’re right, Acts 12 Movement, we were all lost and thankfully there were others that prayed for me, whether I knew it or not. At least in my case their prayers were answered. We’ll just have to continue to hope and pray ours will be answered.

Yes we must pave the way in prayer through Jesus. Someone else paved the way through Jesus for us. We are all united in our commitment to prayer despite our feelings. We walk in truth and love and unity in lifting our words to Him. Jesus is sovereign and that sovereignty is our hope and comfort. May the holy spirit touch your words as we pray together as one in Christ.

Sue, thank you for your active participation in our movement. We realize that sometimes our effort seems futile but we are told to pray and believe, so we pray and pray and believe. God bless you!
