Today we prayed for our children who face addiction to drugs. As one comment noted, prayers for them are just as much for us as they are for the person we are praying for. If you’ve prayed with us today, how were you personally effected? Have you seen the Lord deliver children who are addicted? What kind of prayer have you found effective to intercede on behalf of a child who is addicted to drugs? How do we stay motivated and inspired to believe God for this type of deliverance? Let us know your thoughts. Please comment below and join the discussion. You never know when your words will help someone else. Let God use you in a mighty way!
I have an alcoholic friend so I included him. It’s amazing how many kids are also addicted to alcohol, as well as the drugs, so I included them in my prayer, too. Praying God will move in their lives.

I pray this prayer daily because a very close loved one has been addicted for a few years. It has destroyed her life, and that of her children. We have shown abundant grace and are now showing tough love to her. It is very difficult, but total reliance upon God is all that we can do. It has taught me how to help others going through the same thing, and also to empathize with them more. It is much more difficult to sympathize with someone when you have never experienced it yourself. Our God is able and will ultimately be glorified in it. It has required more grace to raise her children, but a real blessing to show love to them. The oldest has trusted in Christ and is a very good boy despite his previous life of neglect. Praise the Lord and let us all continue to pray.

I couldn’t get this on here fast enough. My wife is on her way to pick up our daughter to take her to Celebrate Recovery. This is the first time she has ever agreed to go for any help anywhere. As of yesterday she was not going to go. Thank you all for praying for our children. This is a true answer to prayer. Thank you!

The “FERVENT” Prayer of a Righteous Man Avails MUCH!!!! ….I had a Niece that was Addicted to drugs at a young age and it was a HEART Wrenching experience not only for her and her family but all of us who Loved her!!..My one Sister and I did just what the Bible told us to do, we prayed FERVENTLY for our Niece we held God to his Word and didn’t Let Go!! We believed and battled in Prayer for her day after day!!..A Revival came into town that I wanted to attend. I just knew in my spirit that I HAD to go. I took a picture of my Niece with me and during Praise and Worship I held it to the Heavens and CRYED out with ALL MY HEART….Jesus, Sweet Jesus Please..Thats All I could say over and over for my Heart was breaking my tears were like a river because as a Mother I knew the Agony my sister was going through as she was watching her baby Girl spin out of control!! …Doctors actually told My Sister that her daughter was one of those Addicts that probably wouldn’t make it, she was that Bad!!! ….But Oh WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!!! My Niece has found her way out of the pit and is now a Firefighter, paramedic!!!… In Christ alone we place our trust and we will Glory in the Power of the Cross in EVERY Victory let it be said of us our source of strength our source of Hope is Christ alone!! Thats the Power of Prayer Through Christ Jesus!!!!!!!! 🙂 Don’t let go!!!…. One day at a Time!! It works it really really does!!!!
