This mornings prayer was for President Obama. Has it been hard laying aside all of the political thoughts that you may have and praying that the God of Heaven will accomplish His will through the President? Whoever the person is in office, God can change their hearts. When you prayed for Him did you feel like you may be wasting your time?

You sure pick hard people to lift up in prayer! First ISIS now this one. Two that I feel is like asking God to convert Satan. You’re really putting my prayer life to the test. 🙂

Thank you for the comment, Sue. ISIS have committed some terrible deeds. The President is hard for many, and not for others. I don’t want to judge any man’s soul, this is The Lord’s job, and I am thankful for that. Let’s say the President is lost, and undoubtedly ISIS is, are they any more lost than you and I before the grace of God reached down and saved us? I don’t think so. What are your or anyone else’s thoughts on this?

I would have never thought to pray for president Obama. I knew it was something about this movement that would make me like it. Sue is right, you are testing our prayer.

We pray for our president and all elected officials each week at church. I have to admit, I have felt conflicted, but I also believe God has instituted government to establish order in a country. No matter who is in office, our prayers still hold great power. God has promised to answer them. President Obama needs our prayers too.

That is great that your church adheres to Scripture in regards to this. We believe as you that our God is able and willing and does answer our prayers. Let’s continue to pray and seek His face.

Love this Blog!! I know what you mean Sue!!! What this shows me when someone asks me to pray for those who I oppose or who are down right EVIL is my own Heart,,..I prayed for Isis Last week and BOY WAS IT HARD!! My Flesh was SCREAMING!!!!!! But I stayed on my Knees. I was obedient and the more I prayed the more I felt the Love of God concerning the most evil of evils!! Oh the Blood of Jesus it washes White as Snow! 🙂
