Pray for Jews for Jesus

This morning we come to you with this prayer request. About twelve years ago, Jews for Jesus missionary Bruce Rapp wrote an article for Jews for Jesus that his Jewish stepmother had accepted Christ as messiah.

But his stepmother, Edith Rapp, said it was a complete lie — she denied ever accepting Jesus Christ as the son of God — and in 2003 she sued the San Francisco-based evangelical ministry.

Her attorney, who is also a rabbi, has set the case for trial and has been sanctioned during the course of this litigation.

So let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, Satan is always attempting to defeat your work. He is tireless in his efforts to make your servants look bad in the eyes of the world. You are the King of the universe and you have all power. We pray in this suit against Jews For Jesus that you will work on behalf of Your people to have the case thrown out. Even the bigger issue seems to be that a Jewish person is more of a Jew if they believe in Jesus. They are then complete in their Messiah. We pray that You will turn this suit around and what comes from it is the proclamation that Jesus is Israel’s Messiah. May Jewish people come to the truth because of it. We pray that You will receive the honor and glory through it all. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

  2. I want to thank you for posting this. As a person affiliated with Jews For Jesus I can assure you that there is no competition or monetary reward to claim a person has trusted in Jesus as their Messiah. The mission statement of Jews For Jesus is “we exist to make the Messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish worldwide”. It is not to count heads, but present only that Jesus is Israel’s Messiah and that they must trust Him as Savior to be cleansed from their sins permanently. Thank you for bringing this to the forefront and praying for this decision. We are trusting God for victory and that Truth will prevail. Lord bless you all.
